Our Team
Dr. Andrea Gelinas, DDS
Having lived in Mexico, South Korea, the Philippines, and the United States, Dr. Andrea Gelinas has done her fair share of travelling and experiencing different cultures. As a result, she brings a sense of ease and style to her practice, which are qualities not typically associated with dentistry.
Dr. Gelinas has meticulously planned and decorated the layout of her dream practice, taking her patients’ comfort into consideration. From creating her own shade of green for the logo, to adding books and records from her personal collection to the reception area for patients to enjoy – no detail was spared to ensure a unique and positive dental experience. Sonos speakers are set to a level so patients won’t hear the noise of the city; diffusers infuse the space with a relaxing scent; and televisions are provided in the treatment rooms so patients can watch Netflix during their treatment.
Walking into Gelinas Dental Studio should essentially feel like walking into a chic and relaxed home – a place you’d want to hang out. Dr. Gelinas has created “a clinic that is part of the community – where people know they will get an honest opinion based on what they actually need, not what their insurance covers."
Dr. Homam Albaghdadi, DDS, CHE, MSCH(HPTE)
Meet doctor Homam Albaghdadi: A University of Toronto graduate with a phonetically impossible last name, but a broadcast-worthy voice. An academic at heart and published author, he obtained a masters in immunology and dabbled in cancer imaging research prior to his dental training. And if 13 years of research and higher education isn’t punishment enough, he completed a rigorous residency program at Mount Sinai Hospital, followed by a masters in community health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health.
Homam’s fascination with dentistry peaked after his orthodontic treatment transformed his smile as an adolescent. He is a calm, passionate clinician who is keen on building trust and enduring rapport with his patients. He is known for his light hand and attention to the minutiae of details. He loves treating patients from all walks of life and has a special spot for seniors. He is on staff at Mount Sinai Hospital where he treats complex and special needs patients both in their multidisciplinary clinic and in the operating room.
He is an avid cyclist, loves creative writing, and eclectic music. Oh, and he is obsessed with shoes.

Paolo, Hygienist
Paolo is originally from Calgary, Alberta. Before becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist, he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Calgary. He moved to Toronto in 2021 to pursue Dental Hygiene at the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries. Having moved across the country, he was captivated by the immense cultural diversity Toronto has and decided to stay to explore more of what this great city has to offer.
When not in the studio, you can find him walking around different areas of the city, trying out different restaurants, vintage clothing shopping, art gallery hopping, looking for hidden gems in music and record shops, and enjoying live music. On the other hand, Paolo also loves surrounding himself with nature — going on hikes and paddle boarding.
He is excited about being a part of the team at Gelinas Dental Studio and is looking forward to meeting you!
Priscila, Studio Manager
Priscila studied Social Communications with a degree in Journalism in Brazil, moving to Canada nearly a decade ago. After falling in love with a Canadian and teaching herself English, she decided to stay here and continue her education in Dental Assistance, graduating in 2016. Her bilingualism has been very helpful among our Portuguese-speaking clientele, and as she has been with us since the Studio’s opening, Priscila takes on a fundamental role among our staff. When Priscila isn’t at the office, she is spending time with her husband, going to the movies, or cycling around new areas of Toronto!
